"ఈరోజు వేరుశెనగ ధర ఎంత?" అన్న ప్రశ్నకు ఒక్క జవాబు ఉండదు. అదే రోజు అదే పంట వేర్వేరు మండీలలో వేర్వేరు ధరలకు అమ్ముడవుతుంది. అందుకే ప్రతి మండీ మూడు అంకెలు నివేదిస్తుంది — కనిష్ట ధర, గరిష్ట ధర, మోడల్ ధర.

పోల్చాల్సింది మోడల్ ధరనే. గరిష్ట ధర చూసి "నాకు కూడా అంతే వస్తుంది" అనుకోవద్దు — అది ఉత్తమ నాణ్యత, ఎంచుకున్న లాటుకు వచ్చిన ధర.
కనీస మద్దతు ధర (MSP) ప్రభుత్వం ప్రకటించే ధర — ప్రభుత్వ కొనుగోలు కేంద్రాలలో మాత్రమే వర్తిస్తుంది. మండీలో వ్యాపారి ఇచ్చే ధర మార్కెట్ నిర్ణయిస్తుంది; అది MSP కంటే ఎక్కువ కావచ్చు, తక్కువ కావచ్చు. మీ పంట ధర MSP కంటే చాలా తక్కువగా ఉంటే, ఆ పంటకు కొనుగోలు కేంద్రం తెరిచి ఉందా అని ఆరా తీయండి.
దూరపు మండీలో ధర ₹300 ఎక్కువగా కనిపించినా, బండి ఖర్చు క్వింటాలుకు ₹400 అయితే నష్టమే. అందుకే మా పేజీ ప్రతి మండీ ధర నుంచి దూరం ప్రకారం రవాణా ఖర్చు తీసేసి, చేతికి వచ్చే ధర ప్రకారం వరుసలో పెడుతుంది. పైన ఉన్న మండీ అత్యధిక ధర ఇచ్చేది కాదు — మీకు అత్యధికం మిగిలేది.
పాత ధరలను జాగ్రత్తగా చూడండి. అన్ని మండీలు రోజూ నివేదించవు — మేము ధర ఎంత పాతదైతే అంత తక్కువ ప్రాధాన్యం ఇస్తాము, మూడు వారాలు దాటిన ధరను అసలు పైన చూపించము.
"What is today's groundnut price?" never has one answer. On the same day the same crop sells at different prices in different yards. That is why every mandi reports three numbers — a lowest price, a highest price, and a modal price.

The number to compare is the modal price — the price the most lots actually traded at. Do not look at the maximum and expect the same; that went to the best-graded lot of the day.
The Minimum Support Price is announced by the government and holds at government procurement centres. The price a mandi trader offers is set by the market and can sit above or below MSP. If you are being offered well under MSP, check whether a procurement centre for that crop is open before you sell.
A far yard showing ₹300 more is a loss if the trip costs ₹400 a quintal. That is why the prices page subtracts a distance-based transport estimate from every quote and ranks yards by take-home price — the yard on top is not the highest bidder, it is the one that leaves you the most.
Watch the age of a quote. Not every yard reports daily — we discount a price as it gets older, and a price more than three weeks old no longer leads the list at all.
